The goal was to map whether descriptions of activities around gender-based violence match spending allocations.

Description: Wrote advocacy briefing on socio-cultural, legal and policy, economic and structural barriers to male and female condom use and innovative ways of overcoming those barriers. Integrating ICASO reports from 14 countries along with international best practices, this publication provides recommendations for community sector advocacy to ensure those most at risk and vulnerable to HIV infection have access to proven prevention methods.

Description: Served as primary editor for content on a manual addressing sexual rights, with emphasis on the international LGBTI community. My work consisted of revising, strengthening and clarifying human rights definitions and standards, case studies, lessons learned and model advocacy efforts for this trainer’s manual geared towards community activists.

Description: The idea behind this publication was to create a database of innovative communications materials on ending gender-based violence which could be accessed and shared by women’s organizations around the world. A collaboration between UNIFEM and the Media Materials Clearinghouse of the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs, the publication highlights specific materials and campaigns which organizations can adapt for their own use.
